Case study: Sardine Lab

Perimeter Architects, the creative minds behind some amazing buildings in Chicago (including the Ink Factory headquarters), decided to give away a corner of their studio in West Town to a select entrepreneur, innovator, or non-profit. We created a 100% paper engineered stop motion video to advertise their new venture, Sardine Lab.

We made hundreds of paper cut outs – from smaller than a paper clip to bigger than Ryan’s head – and slowly moved each piece into place for each frame of the video.

Everything was filmed on a custom-made (CNC routed from wood) sardine tin “key” that was over three feet long.

We think the result is awesome and hope you do, too! If you want to learn more about Sardine Lab, go to www.sardinelab.com.
