Crain’s 2016 Chicago’s Coolest Offices
Ink Factory’s intimate storefront studio, in the heart of the Bucktown neighborhood, was recently listed as one of Chicago’s coolest designs by Crain’s Chicago Business! And checkout the front page that features Ink Factory’s studio dog, Whisky Tango Foxtrot! We were honored to be featured among some amazing designs that included many Fortune 500 companies. Our incredible architecture firm, Perimeter Architects, worked closely with us and our general contractor, Means of Production, to create a space that is not only functional and flexible, but innovative and fun to work with. Our needs were simple, but challenged with the narrow space and limitations since we lease this space. Read more about how to rethink your workspace in our previous post (click here). Some of our favorite spaces included Pandora’s brand new 33,000 square foot space. It includes a DJ booth, flexible working spaces, and can be converted into a fun and colorful event space for those music-driven afterwork parties. Another favorite from this feature is Capital One’s “Shop” that houses about 100 employees that work within their digital analytics operations. They’ve incorporated beautiful graffiti into the space, which is also peppered with walls that have been painted with whiteboard paint (which we LOVE). Threadless, the famous artist-driven t-shirt manufacturer, has worked with artists from around the country to cover their walls in amazing illustrations and graffiti. Their space can also easily convert to an event space as it also has a reception desk with FOUR BEER TAPS!!! Um, can we say heck yeah?!
