The Violet Hour Mural – Community of Curiosity
Ink Factory painted the mural on the facade of The Violet Hour, one of the most beautifully designed bars we have ever been in. To create the mural, as you can see from the video below, we collaborated with Means of Production in Chicago to use a CNC router to cut the larger than life letters out of thick plywood. Once the facade was painted a bright yellow (donated by Sherwin Williams) the 3D letters were attached. From here we started to visualize the theme of “A Community of Curiosity” which paired back to CIW’s theme for this year’s event. The mural took about 2.5 days to complete.
