Five hours. Multiple speakers. One audience that needed clarity, not confusion.
Menopalooza is an all-day event featuring multiple expert speakers covering dense medical topics from GLP-1 medications to hormone therapy. And lots of women who needed to absorb it all.
For Julie Fedeli and Pam DeRose, the founders of Midlife Upgrade, Menopalooza meant comprehensive menopause education unlike anything the space had seen before. The challenge? Making dense medical education feel like the celebration—and breakthrough moment—these women deserved.
Their audience wasn’t looking for another overwhelming conference. These women wanted to be present—discussing, connecting, absorbing. And with topics this complex, Julie and Pam knew that information overload could easily outshine impact.
“I think a lot of women really wanted to absorb the information as opposed to taking notes. I didn’t see anybody really doing that on their phone. So I think that Ink Factory provided an opportunity for women to actually have visual notes, which was amazing.”
– Pam DeRose, Founder
So how do you keep an audience engaged, help complex information land, and create a Palooza-worthy experience that people actually remember?
Live visual notes transformed presentations into clarity, while engagement boards turned insights into action, no event planner stress required.
Information Without the Overwhelm.
Enter live visual note-taking: a way to give attendees permission to be fully present while ensuring nothing important slipped away.
Ink Factory partnered with Julie and Pam to transform Menopalooza’s dense content into visual clarity. We understood what they needed. Not just drawings, but a strategic approach to help women absorb complex medical information without the overwhelm. Our goal: make five hours of education feel cohesive, memorable, and actionable.
Our artists captured each presentation in real-time, translating everything from GLP-1 medications to male-female relationship dynamics into bold drawings. As speakers talked, complex concepts became clear, easy-to-grasp drawings that women could see, understand, and reference throughout the day.
We also created an event activation board at entry and exit—asking questions that helped attendees reflect on what they were learning and what actions they’d take next. These boards became conversation starters, giving women a place to connect with each other around the content.
“When they came in the door, there was an Ink Factory board with a question, and then also at the end women were asked, and you actually got some amazing responses. That was a really brilliant idea.”
– Pam DeRose, Founder
Together, these elements created a comprehensive visual experience. Live capture of content, interactive engagement activations, and a partnership that required zero event planner bandwidth.
A Palooza-Worthy Experience, Delivered
Attendees called it special and different. Julie and Pam called it seamless. And no one had ever seen anything like it at a menopause event.
People gravitated to the boards immediately—photographing them, discussing them, using them as conversation starters throughout the day. Instead of being buried in their phones taking notes, attendees were fully present, absorbing the experience while knowing the visual notes would capture everything they needed.
The impact was particularly visible during information-heavy presentations. When the GLP-1 medications session ended, women weren’t overwhelmed by the density. They were energized, seeing complex pharmaceutical information broken down into clear, digestible drawings.
Visual notes softened the energy of five straight hours of medical education, creating natural gathering points where women could connect with each other and discuss what they were learning and experiencing in their own lives. The event activation sparked reflection and conversation, helping attendees move from passive learning to active planning.
For Julie and Pam, the partnership delivered exactly what they needed: professional execution that required zero management bandwidth. While they focused on hosting and caring for speakers and attendees, Ink Factory handled the visual storytelling seamlessly. The result? An event that attendees called special, different, and unlike any menopause event they’d experienced before.
“To work with you and have this level of professionalism that was impeccable—we felt very taken care of. We knew that everything that Ink Factory was going to do was going to be fabulous. We could surrender to just really being hosts and MCs for the event. So thank you, thank you, thank you.”
