Give me a hand (or four)
Ink Factory worked with Eric Stephenson at Lunar Burn Studios to create a set of aluminum hands from Lindsay and Dusty’s own hands. They are a fun way to hold our whiteboard markers in our brand new space. They’re also great for holding large sheets of foamboard instead of using traditional easels.
The process was quite interesting to experience. From doing the initial casts in rubber, filling them with wax to form the positive mold, then using that mold to create the final plaster cast for which the molten aluminum was poured. The detail in the final pieces is incredible. You can even see and feel Lindsay and Dusty’s fingerprints!
