In-Person

Drawings created in real-time using simple words and pictures, virtually or in-person. Having a visual note-taker at your event means that while you’re talking, we’re drawing. The result is a visual summarizing the key takeaways of your discussion.

Virtual

Artists join your hybrid or virtual meeting from our Chicago studio. Digitally drawn visual notes are screenshared and drawn live, just as they would be in-person.

Digital

The same magic of visual notes, but created digitally on a drawing tablet. The live digital drawing can be projected on any size screen, perfect for large audiences, or for rooms too small to have a physical board set up.

Event Activation

We capture your audience’s ideas, answers, and insights live in real-time. Our artists turn conversations into engaging drawings that highlight key takeaways, spark interaction, and make your event memorable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is visual note-taking?

Visual note-taking, also known as graphic recording, sketchnoting, or scribing, is a note-taking method that combines handwritten text with illustrations to create visual summaries.

Visual notes are created in real-time using simple words and pictures, digitally or in-person. You don’t have to be an artist to take your own visual notes; they can help anyone with better active listening, learning, and information retention.

Do you need my presentation ahead of time?

Nope. The whole point is that we listen and draw in real-time. Agendas change on a dime. We’re flexible and adaptable.

How did you learn how to do this?

Mentoring and lots of practice. We layer skills like illustration, listening, handwriting, and more to create the special sauce that is visual note-taking. Our internal training process takes at least 6 months. We also teach private workshops for teams If you’re interested in learning for yourself.

What materials do you use for visual note-taking?

We typically use large markers on 40x60” (100x152cm) paper coated boards. These boards can be cut, stacked and combined in limitless ways. Other board sizes are available, and we will order them and coordinate delivery with you.

Isn’t visual note-taking distracting?

Quite the opposite–visual notes are a super engaging tool. It’s YOUR content being synthesized and visualized in real-time.
