Your big ideas deserve more than bullet points.

Slides fade. Sticky notes get tossed. A drawing sticks. For more than a decade, our artists have stood at the front of conferences, meetings, and events listening hard and drawing fast.

Watch the room go from “hmm” to “AHA!” and leave with something worth keeping. Live visual storytelling is strategy you can see.

WHAT IS visual storytelling?

Visuals help ideas land with greater impact.

Visual storytelling combines and illustrator’s eye with a strategist’s brain. Our artists listen (or read) for the core of your content and translates it into a single, bold, hand-drawn visual. The result is your message, clarified. People understand it faster, remember it longer, and act on it sooner.

You won’t regret it

Our clients

Part artist. Part strategist.

Anyone can draw a picture. We draw the point.

Every Ink Factory artist works like a visual strategist. We read the room, find the signal in the noise, and decide what deserves to be inked.

It’s a skill we’ve sharpened since 2011 as one of the pioneers of the visual note-taking industry, and it’s why Fortune 100 teams and mission-driven nonprofits trust us with their most important conversations.

Where visual storytelling works

Same craft, three different rooms. Pick the moment that matters most to you.

Visual storytelling at conferences

Keep thousands of attendees awake, engaged, and talking. Our artists draw summaries of keynotes and breakouts live, then hand you finished the visual notes that keep working long after the lanyards come off.

Visual storytelling for meetings

Strategy offsites, town halls, and workshops where alignment is the whole point. We draw the conversation as it happens or create hand-drawn slides ahead of time so everyone leaves on the same page. No recap email required.

Visual storytelling at events

Trade show booths, activations, and feedback sessions that pull a crowd. We draw your attendees’ own ideas in real time, turning passers-by into participants.

How it WORKS

01
We Tune In

Visual Storytelling FAQs

What is visual storytelling?

At Ink Factory, visual storytelling is the practice of turning ideas, conversations, and information into bold, hand-drawn visuals, often live and in real time. When we take visual notes, our professional artists listen to what’s being said and draw the key points as a single, memorable picture people can understand at a glance.

How is visual storytelling different from graphic recording or visual note-taking?

They’re close cousins. Both graphic recording and visual note-taking describe the live act of drawing a conversation summary. Visual storytelling is the bigger idea behind it: shaping all of that into one clear narrative that serves your goal.Visual storytelling runs through everything we do at Ink Factory.

Does visual storytelling work for virtual and hybrid events?

Yes. Our artists draw live on-screen for virtual audiences and in-person for live rooms — or both at once for hybrid events. Digital drawings are a great way to fight screen fatigue and give remote attendees something to remember.

What do we get at the end?

For our in-person visual note-taking projects, you'll get a finished, large-scale drawing you can display on-site, plus high-resolution digital files you own and can reuse in recaps, social posts, and internal comms long after the event.

How much does visual storytelling cost?

Every engagement is scoped to your event or project — length, format, number of artists, and deliverables. Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll send a quote. Most clients are surprised how much lasting value comes from a single day of live drawing.
