Visual storytelling for meetings

Turn your next meeting into something people actually remember

Your best strategy sessions, leadership offsites, brainstorms, and team meetings deserve better than a forgotten notebook full of half-finished notes. A meeting illustrator captures your conversation in real time—translating whiteboard sessions, planning discussions, and big ideas into a visual your whole team can see, reference, and act on.

Whether you need graphic meeting support for a boardroom strategy session or a visual artist for meetings held over Zoom, we bring the same bold, hand-drawn clarity to every room you’re in.

Our clients

Visual meeting notes aren't magic, they're creative genius.

Drawings  make your meeting time count

Our live sketch artists aren’t there for entertainment. We’re there to help your team think more clearly, align faster, and walk away with something to act on.

As your conversation unfolds, we listen for the ideas that matter most and hand draw visual notes that keep everyone focused on the goal.

When your meeting ends, you’re not left piecing together scattered notes. You have one clear, shared reference that makes the next step obvious.

Types of Meetings Our Visual Artists Support

From high-stakes strategy sessions to recurring team check-ins, visual meeting notes adapt to however your team works.

Strategic Planning & Offsites

When the whole leadership team is in the room for a full-day planning session, ideas move fast and connections can get lost. Draw your meetings live, and your team leaves with a single visual that maps out the plan everyone actually agreed to.

Boardroom & Leadership Meetings

High-level discussions deserve a high-level record. A visual artist for meetings at this altitude helps executives track decisions, priorities, and next steps without anyone stuck taking notes instead of participating.

Brainstorming Sessions

Great ideas can move fast—and get lost just as quickly. A meeting illustrator captures every idea as it's thrown out, creating a visual mind map that highlights connections between ideas and which ones resonated with your team the most.

Plus, researchers have found that using visuals during meetings creates more ideas, creates better ideas, and increases recall.

Meeting Illustration FAQs

What is a meeting illustrator?

Meeting illustrators that draw live are commonly referred to as visual note-takers or graphic recorders. These illustrators listen to content spoken in meetings and draw visual summaries of that content in real-time, typically with markers on or digital tablets.

How much does it cost to hire a visual artist for a meeting?

The cost of hiring a meeting illustrator varies greatly depending on the artist's level of experience, where your event is located, how long it is, if you opt for digital or in-person services, how many artists you'll need, and more.

We work with each of our clients to create a custom proposal based on their needs and how we can best meet their goals within their budget. Get in touch with our client specialists today for a free consultation.

Can a meeting illustrator join a virtual or hybrid meeting?

Yes, meeting illustrators can join virtual and hybrid meetings. They are able to draw digitally on tablets and connect their live drawings to most virtual meeting platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

What's the difference between a meeting illustrator and a graphic recorder?

Graphic recorders are sometimes called meeting illustrators. Both listen to core themes in meetings and draw live visual summaries of what's being said in the room.

How far in advance do I need to book a visual artist for meetings?

To ensure best artist availability, we recommend starting the process to book an artist no less than 30 days before your meeting date.

What size meetings or groups work best for visual note-taking?

Any size meeting can benefit from hiring a live illustrator. In-person visual notes work best for smaller groups, and large-scale digitally projected visual notes work well for larger audiences.

Do I need to prepare anything before the meeting for the illustrator?

The only thing our illustrators need before drawing your meeting is an agenda with titles for each section of the meeting. The beauty of visual note-taking is that we listen and draw live, always reacting to what's being said in the room.

What do I actually receive after the meeting (digital files, physical boards, etc.)?

If you hire an in-person illustrator, we'll provide both the physical boards and digital versions after your meeting ends.

How is a meeting illustrator different from just taking written notes?

Written notes are 100% text. Meeting illustrators create visual notes, which are illustrated summaries that visually emphasize the core ideas being shared in a session. Unlike written notes, a viewer can quickly glance at visual notes and understand the gist of a meeting. Plus, they're a lot more fun.
